I moved in January and contracted TWC for the first time ever. The tech came to install cable, internet and phone. Where we wanted to have our main TV in the living room, they could not run a cable to for some reason. It was really the only place to hang a flat screen in the living room. The tech said to use the app and AirPlay it to the tv. This was a great idea and it worked awesome! Until this latest update. Now you can only AirPlay the audio and not the video. I am paying for two boxes even though only one is connected and now I have a useless tv in my living room bacause I can not connect a box to it bacause TWC will not install (run the cable) to the location of the TV. If this does not get resolved quickly I will be switching to another provider. Ive contacted TWC and they are going to get back to me. One of my Ipads did not get updated and continues to work, but yesterday when I updated the operating system it automatically updated all my apps and now none work. Last chance TWC!!!
What the hell have you done?????????? Now only the audio streams to my TV using AirPlay... Fix this now!!!!!! You ruined EVERYTHING!!!!!
ZERO star rating! Had no idea there had been an update, just tried to use the app a few days ago, and thought what the heck is all this? Automatically updated. Gee, thanks TWC. Cant watch ANYTHING on TV now. Every time a channel is selected a message pops up saying the channel isnt currently available. Or there is a tuning error or some other excuse why we cant watch channels weve had no problem watching in the past. Thats when we can even figure out how to watch a show, which is nearly impossible. We cant even get their crappy remote to work any more. Trying to watch something on the TV has become extremely frustrating. My husband has pretty much had it with TWC. Hes checking into dish TV now.

This app is terrible. Its not even worth downloading. Its just confirmation of how little Time Warner cares about their customers.
TWC is absolutely the worst app ever, only works at most 10 percent of the time!!!
Jesus Christ can they get anything right? I cant watch something for more than 4 minutes. Before I get an error and it stops playback
This most recent update kills the efficiency of this app. The prior version gave users a quick way to search the guide, see all listings in airing order, and easily identify the NEW items. This version is so time consuming! It displays shows on episode order! Im not trying to binge watch live tv! Worst yet, I cant find a later airing of an episode when needed. Ugh! Please revert to the old guide, or overhaul with UX in mind!
Since updating the app its been nothing but trouble! I keep getting "channel load error" on most channels most of the time, do something about this!

Totally confusing and unnecessary update. Why did anyone at TWC think these changes were useful? Did anyone really ask for this stuff? Please bring back the simplicity and functionality of the previous version. Are you really trying to make us switch to DirecTV or FIOS? Thats where this is going.
On the Live screen when sorting by Channel Number and filtering by All Channels, both iPhone and iPad versions of this apps used to have consecutive channels on the left side of the Live screen but now there are numbering gaps in the channel list (for example 97, 109-110, 120, 127, 130-131, 133....). The Guide screen still has consecutive numbers; why not the Live screen? This is not good if you are a normal person who searches by number. Please restore a consecutive numbered guide list. Fonts are easier to read for me anyway which is good. Right now stability seems to be better but I may have to edit my review if it goes back to crashing.
The functions I used the most are now buried 3 menus deep. Why? If I am looking at the guide and want to watch it on tv, I should be able to do that easily without having to wait for it to show me an image, scroll the bottom to find the "other" button, click the watch on tv button, find the time that it is playing (right now), and then click that. Stupid. You have made using the remote more convenient than using the app.
New release makes recording more confusing and less intuitive. For example, no clear indication you have selected a show for recording like before. A giant step backward in that area.
App keeps crashing. Have to delete it and reload. Only works one time, then dead next time I turn it on. Total crap.
It can recognize that I am watching tv on my mobile phone, but almost always it cant recognize that I am at home, and very often right beside my router, 100% connected to the internet to my domestic network and to the Internet! It interrupts whatever I am watching and switch to the local TWC News. It is, at least, very irritating!
The latest update bluntly stinks, it is very poorly designed for fast an easy viewing. Went to play on air on my iPad told needed to upgrade my subscription I think is crazy since your fees are too high as it is. The search feature is horrible, dont need to have the season of a show so prominent in the search feature need to know if the show when it is airing ....the show should be listed in chronological order of that day/week not what season of the show then Have to scroll thru a list. Also recorded a show from the guide and when replayed it a completely different show, the guide was wrong. Just stinks.
Im not quite sure who TWC has employed to oversee the app and TV guides but they need to rethink the direction in which theyre headed. Shocking update!!! All previous reviewers have outlined many of the issues (does TWC not bug test or do beta research internally before rolling out a crap update???). Sad.
